Elements of Style

NEW YORK - November 9, 2000   WorldAsia's latest event - Elements of Style - drew throngs of people clambering to spend an evening with Asian celebrities, models, designers and musical performers.

The event, held at New York City's famous nightclub Webster Hall, showcased the latest in Asian fashion and music, and was hosted by celebrities Marie Matiko (co-star with Wesley Snipes in the "Art of War", Corruptor, Miss Saigon) and veteran actor Clyde Kusatsu.

Elements of Style featured top models in a runway fashion show highlighting the Spring/Summer 2001 collections of several hip Asian designers: Margie Tsai, Hiroko Suzuki, Clutch USA, Tian Art by Flora Cheong Leen, Blanc De Chine, Heratic-goes-round and Tunji Dada.

The evening also featured live musical performances by up-and-coming rock band Organic Juice and female vocalist Angela Ai. Following the show, internationally acclaimed DJs Wicked Liquid kept the floor packed with their trance stylings.

With an attendance rate of over 2000, WorldAsia's Elements of Style is the first and largest event of its kind.
